The Real Deal

Let me tell you something I’ve learned in more than fifty years in this business:
Quality isn’t just something you see. It’s something you feel.

You feel it in the weight of a turquoise stone in your hand.
You hear it in the ring of silver when it’s been hammered just right.
You experience the swell in your chest when a customer walks out smiling, knowing they bought something that’ll last a lifetime – and maybe a few more after that.
At Sunwest, we don’t cut corners. We cut stone.
And we’ve built this place on a foundation stronger than any setting:
Honesty, respect, and love of the craft.
This isn’t just a question of grade or purity.
It’s about honoring the land, the people, the culture, and the customer.
Our jewelry tells a story. Every purchase is supporting a generations old tradition.
That’s why we do things the way that we do here.
We work directly with Native American artists, whose skills were passed down through the ages.
KIRK SMITH CARICO CORAL  We know where our stones come from. We sort them by hand. We grade them by eye and by feel. And every piece that leaves our doors carries the spirit of the Southwest. But quality doesn’t end with the jewelry.

It’s the way we answer the phone. The way we treat our clients – big and small. It’s how we pack a box like we’re gifting it to a loved one ourselves.
And maybe most importantly, it’s the people who make this whole machine run.
I’ve had the honor of working alongside some of the best people I’ve ever known – folks who care deeply, who show up every day with pride in their work, and who carry decades of knowledge in their hands. From sourcing to sorting, from design to delivery, every part of this team reflects the same values we built this business on: integrity, dedication, and heart.

This isn’t just a job for them, it’s a calling, and it shows in every single piece we send out.

Quality isn’t something you manufacture – It’s something you live.

And around here, we live it every day.
